Day 0: Arrival

Upon arrival, through Kilimanjaro International Airport you will be met by your professional driver from Signature Safari and transferred to the Gran Melia Hotel spend the rest of the day at leisure and acclimatization   for dinner and overnight though. Not only that but also this day if your flight will arrive early and the sky is clear, you will have a chance to see Mount Kilimanjaro if the weather condition will be suitable ,you will reach your hotel and checkin,our guide will give you brief about our Luxury Family Safari  in Tanzania and Zanzibar.

Day 1:Arusha To Tarangire National Park

We will leave our Hotel in Arusha town very early in the morning with a picnic lunch for a full day game drive in Tarangire National Park to start our first day of this Luxury Family Safari . Tanzania’s third largest National park is known for its majestic baobab trees that dot the landscape, dwarfing the animals that feed beneath them. The Tarangire River is the centerpiece of this park which is famous for some of the largest herds of elephants in Africa. Here you may see lion, leopard, cheetah, lesser kudu, buffalo, Oryx, eland, giraffe and zebra. Post the game drive, you will head to your accommodation at Lake Manyara Serena Hotel where a delicious dinner awaits you.

Day 2: Transit to Northern Serengeti National Park

After finishing up a good breakfast at the hotel, you will head out towards Kogatende Area in Northern Serengeti National Park and travel in the northern of the never ending plain grasslands. The Serengeti National Park is arguably the most impressive wildlife sanctuary in the world. You will have a late afternoon game drive in the endless plains of the Serengeti for a chance to see the great herds of wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles or a pride of lions lounging in the shade. Picnic lunch will be done during the day-long game drive itself or maybe at Olduvai Gorge. On the way to Serengeti National Park you will have to visit Olduvai Gorge (optional tour) with extra cost of $35 per person. It is within this steep sided ravine that Louis and Mary Leakey made some of the world’s most important archaeological discoveries in the 1950s. Here in a small museum we are able to see evidence of our ancestors that have been dated back 2.5 million years. We will later proceed with a drive to Kogatende area northern Serengeti National. The eventful day comes to an end with a heavy dinner and a good night’s rest in your accommodation. Overnight at Serengeti in Gran Melia Lodge in Serengeti.

Day 3:Full Day Gamedrive -Kogatende -Serengeti National Park

You will depart for full day game drives around 6:00 AM on an early morning game drive to northern Serengeti for Kogatende Area to see the Mara River. Kogatende, which is in Northern Serengeti, near the Mara River is a great place to get away from the crowds since it is secluded and inaccessible, sandwiched between the Central Serengeti and Kenya’s Masai Mara National Reserve to the north. Travelers who make it to this part of the Serengeti will be rewarded with breathtaking scenery, including green rolling hills, granite outcrops, and acacia woodlands dotting open savanna, incredible wildlife, and, most importantly, massive herds of wildebeest and zebra crossing the croc-infested Mara River during the Great Migration. This area of the park is also home to a number of other attractions. This section of the park is also home to the Serengeti’s highest concentration of elephants, as well as large concentrations of lion, leopard, cheetah, and hyena, as well as a variety of resident species including giraffe, topi, eland, and hippo. The Mara River, which flows through the Northern Serengeti before entering Lake Victoria in the west, is without a doubt the centerpiece of this isolated Serengeti region. The river is home to massive hippos and a variety of wildlife, including giraffe, elephant, leopard, and lion. Thousands upon thousands of wildebeest and zebra battle currents and massive Nile crocodiles to reach the opposite side of the Mara River, where they make their journey north into Kenya’s Masai Mara. Then you will be taken to Serengeti Gran Melia Lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Game drive Serengeti National Park -Ngorongoro Conservation Area

You can both have a relaxed breakfast and depart for full day game drives around 9:00 AM with packed lunch, or you can depart at 6:00 AM on an early morning game drive. Then we will return to our accommodation for breakfast and rest for a bit and then we depart on in afternoon game drive with packed lunch. You will leave Northern Serengeti National Park with a game drive to explore of the beautiful Serengeti. The Serengeti National Park is the most acclaimed safari destination for its incredible population of wildebeest, lions, cheetah and leopards. The central area of the Serengeti – known as Seronera area is one of the prosperous wildlife habitats in the park, which features Seronera River, which provides a water source to this area animals tend to follow drinking water in this area and therefore attracts wildlife well representative of most of the Serengeti’s species. During the off season of the migration, one must really look out for the many lion pride that thrive in this region. The synergy and survival of lion pride provide excellent game viewing experience. Together with picnic lunch during the game drive, later on we leave Serengeti to Ngorongoro Conservation Area with en-route game drive.

Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater Full Day Gamedrive

On this day of your Wildlife Safari you will leave you accommodation with picnic lunch to descend  Ngorongoro Crater, you will decent into this beautiful crater floor full of animals and birds species with a big opportunity of spotting big 5 animals. Ngorongoro Crater is the great volcanic crater in the world and fourteen kilometers of isolated natural beauty. Ngorongoro Crater is surrounded by a ring of extinct volcanoes and the floor, dotted with watering holes, shelters some 30,000 animals. The Ngorongoro Crater is the world largest inactive volcanic caldera. It has a massive floor of about 260 sq. km with a depth of over 2000 feet. The 6-8 hours game drive on the crater floor will show you a lot of animal action. You should keep your camera ready anytime when we are in this beautiful crater. The African elephant, buffalo, Black rhino, Hippos in the pools, Hyenas, Cheetahs and Lions are found in plenty. Post the picnic lunch at the beautiful Hippo pool, you will begin a steep ascend to the top exit of the crater.

This is the last day of your safari, with drive to Lake Manyara Serena Lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 6:Lake Manyara National Park

You will be taken to Lake Manyara National Park for a morning game drive, after breakfast our driver guide will be waiting for you at your accommodation ready for starting your safari to Lake Manyara National Park. This park is one of Tanzania’s small National Parks and it is placed the most dramatically wildlife area in Tanzania. Also this Park consists of a huge shallow salt Lake covering which covers about two third of the park and lies at the base of the Great Rift Valley’s Due to rich and varied habitats, this park attracts different animal species like herds of zebra, giraffe, warthog, wildebeest, buffalo, African elephant, the famous Lake Manyara tree-climbing lions etc. Countless numbers of flamingos attracted by green algae around the Lake are also available. This park is smallest and very compact, this will help you to see many animal species, bird species, trees and the beautiful Lake of Manyara, and lunch will be provided inside the park at the beautiful selected picnic site. Then proceed with our game drive while exit the national park, our guide will take us to Arusha town at Gran Melia Hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 7: Materuni Waterfalls & Coffee Day Tour

On this day you will wake up early in the morning to Materuni Village for coffee plantation tour and visit Materuni waterfalls, Materuni Waterfall is the highest and most impressive waterfall at the foothill of  Mt. Kilimanjaro with a height of about 150m. You’ll visit a coffee farm and learn about how coffee is grown, harvested and processed, and you’ll try your hand at roasting and preparing a fresh cup of coffee the Chagga way. After the coffee tour and tasting, you’ll take a beautiful 30 minute hike through the hills and valleys en route to the Materuni. The valleys and hills are covered by tropical rainforest, coffee, banana and avocado “shambas”, the Kiswahili word for farms. On a clear day great views of Kibo and Moshi town can be seen during hiking. The hike to the base of the Waterfall can be demanding and hiking shoes are recommended. After the hike, you will have your lunch at the waterfalls. Finally, you can refresh at the waterfall’s cold water, so don’t forget to bring your swimwear. After the experience you will start your journey back to Moshi town, we will leave Materuni early in the afternoon to Kikuletwa hot spring, a visit Kikuletwa Hot springs, and spend some time about 3 hours before heading back to our accommodation. Dried river beds, baobab and acacia trees accompany us on our way. The hot springs of Kikuletwa, also known as Chemka Hot Springs, are close to the village of Rundugai and are one of the most beautiful places in Tanzania to relax. The small pond is surrounded by palm and fig trees with winding roots. Later a driver guide will take you back to Arusha town for dinner and overnight at Gran Melia Hotel.

Day 8: Arusha Town & Hotel Relaxation

A full day in Arusha. This day will be resting day and relaxation at the Hotel, take rest in the morning and in the afternoon you will be taken for a short town tour in Arusha and experience how the local of the area lives.

Day 9: Departure -Arrival in Zanzibar

Our guide will come to pick you from the hotel basing on Zanzibar flight schedule, check out and then you will be taken to Arusha Airstrip for your flight to Zanzibar. If times allow and you will be ready we can arrange for you a complementary town tour before taken to Arusha Kisongo Airstrip. Upon your arrival in Zanzibar you will be picked up by our professional guide and transferred to Zanzibar Serena Hotel relaxation and enjoying beach view, later on dinner and overnight at the hotel will be served.

 Day 10: Stone Town

After breakfast we proceed with Luxury Family Safari, today you will have chance to explore the stone town tour which is the most scenic parts of the island as you head to Stone Town. In stone town you will experience the rich history of the city, after that we head to the bustling markets, alleys and what was formerly a slave market. In the afternoon, we proceed with tour of the countryside to the spice plantations where you will be welcomed by the rich aroma of spices such as nutmeg and cinnamon.

Spices and herbs were originally introduced to Zanzibar by Portuguese traders in the 16th century, brought from their colonies in South America and India. During this tour you will be walking inside of spice farms in Swahili we call them (Shambas) While you are there, you shall see how the spices, herbs and fruits grow and are cultivated as well as more explanations from your guide about how those crops are used in our daily life. You will be smelling and tasting spices, herbs and tropical fruits such as clove, lemongrass, nutmeg, cinnamon, turmeric, vanilla, coconuts, papaya, chili, black pepper, jackfruit, cardamom, cassava and oranges. After the tour you will enjoy a traditional Swahili lunch at the farm. Here is when you can really taste the different ways of using spices.

The tour finishes with a stop at a spice stall selling fresh packaged spices (cash only). In the evening you will be driven to Zanzibar Serena Hotel Overnight.

Day 11:Prison Island -Nakupenda Beach

You will be met by our professional guide at 10:00 am for prison island tour where by you will enjoy the swing the Jiang tortoise, peacocks and small antelopes known as dikki dikki, after Prison Island you will later visit Nakupenda Beach.This full day tour includes something for everyone! Start your day by visiting the historical Prison Island.

There, tour a prison once used as a quarantine, befriend an Aldabra Tortoise and enjoy the panorama of Stone town viewed from an island! After that, it’s time to relax on the white sands of the Pange Sandbank and soak up the Zanzibar sun. Admire the breathtaking view of the turquoise waters that surround you and the birds that loom up above. This truly is a dream destination! Luxury Family Safari ! Time for a cool down? Grab your snorkel and flippers and go for a swim. This underwater world will blow you away. Marvel at the tropical fish that swim amongst the beautiful, live coral reef that surrounds the Sandbank. Day 12: Zanzibar Island Spice Tour

On this day of Zanzibar Island tour our guide will take you to Mnemba Island for spotting dolphins and snorkeling, only two places we say are the best and easy to spot dolphins; at Mnemba Island and Kizimkazi beach as we mentioned above. And from these two places, we recommend Mnemba Island because you can combine it with Snorkeling, this place is considered as the best snorkeling part of Zanzibar beach Holidays.

Day 14: Leisure at Pemba Islands

On these day of leisure at Pemba Island based on Bed and Breakfast you will have an option to do a tour of Pemba towns or go to Misali Island for snorkeling and diving. Most of the island, which is hillier and more fertile than Unguja. This Island is dominated by small scale farming. Not only small farming but also large scale farming of cash crops such as cloves are available in this Island. There is a quite large Arab community on the island who emigrated from Oman. The population is a mix of Arab and original Waswahili inhabitants of the island. A significant portion of the population also identifies as Shiraz people. The most important towns in Pemba are Chake-Chake which is the Capital City on this Island, Mkoani, and were which as well is the largest city. Pemba is, with the exception of a strip of land along its eastern coast, a very fertile place: besides clove trees, the locals grow mainly rice, coconut, bananas, cassava and red beans (called maharagwe in the Swahili language).Later you return to the accommodation for dinner and overnight.
