Your African safari will also take you to the Ngorongoro Crater, featuring one of the highest concentrations of game in Africa. Here you will witness an amazing spectacle of African wildlife – inside a self-contained world featuring an unbelievable concentration of animals. Tarangire well known for its elephant populations, three families numbering in the region of one thousand each, is so named for the life giving Tarangire River which wends its way through the park and gives sustenance from its cooling waters to a broad variety of game that come here to imbibe.

Day 0: Arrival – Arusha

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be met by your driver and transferred to the Green Mountain Hotel in Arusha. Settle into your accommodation, ready to start your safari proper in the morning. If time allows, a complimentary town tour to explore Arusha town and visit a local market can be arranged.

Day 1: Arusha - Tarangire National Park

We will leave Arusha town early in the morning with a picnic lunch for a full day game drive in Tarangire. Tanzania’s third largest National park is known for its majestic baobab trees that dot the landscape, dwarfing the animals that feed beneath them. The Tarangire River is the centerpiece of this park which is famous for some of the largest herds of elephants in Africa. Here you may see lion, leopard, cheetah, lesser kudu, buffalo, Oryx, eland, giraffe and zebra. Post the game drive, you will head to accommodation for relaxation and where a delicious dinner and overnight awaits you. Accommodation will be Octagon Lodge situated amidst colorful and exotic gardens and provides a perfect base for visiting the Northern Parks of Tarangire, Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro Crater and Serengeti.

Day 2: Ngorongoro Crater - Serengeti

After an early breakfast, depart with picnic lunch and drive to Ngorongoro crater for a full day of game drive. You will wake up early morning, having your breakfast in the morning before starting to depart to Ngorongoro Crater for a game drive, the 600 m deep caldera you will descend the crater for a game drive. The Ngorongoro Crater is the world’s largest inactive, intact and unfilled volcanic caldera. It has a massive floor of about 260 sq. kms with a depth of over 2000 feet. Ngoro Ngoro Crater is the largest collapsed volcanic crater in the world and fourteen kilometers of isolated natural beauty. Ngoro Ngoro Crater is surrounded by a ring of extinct volcanoes and the floor, dotted with watering holes, shelters some 30,000 animals. The 5-6 hour game drive on the crater floor will show you a lot of animal action. Keeping the camera ready is definitely recommended. Since Ngorongoro Crater is compact you can have an access to see different and many animals and birds in short period of time. The African elephant, buffalo, Black rhino, Hippos, Hyenas, Cheetahs and Lions are found in plenty ,afternoon you will head out towards Serengeti National Park and travel in the midst of the never ending plain grasslands.You will be taken to the accommodation at Serengeti Heritage Tented Camps.

Day 3: Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, you will have morning and afternoon game drives in central Serengeti national park with early departure looking for active predators. Serengeti is the park with the largest concentration of big mammals in the world and it is where you will see most of your exciting wildlife. The sightings in the central Serengeti will include prides of lions, cheetahs, leopards, elephants, giraffes, hippos, impalas, dik dik, monkeys, baboons, gazelles, warthogs and many more.Along with a picnic lunch during the full day game drive evening. We are completely flexible with your preferences and this day will be doing another full game drive since the Serengeti is large and vast we can find different areas to exploit and spot animals and when you are lucky enough you can even see some events such as animal hunting and fighting. The eventful day comes to an end with a heavy dinner and a good night’s rest in your accommodation. Overnight at Serengeti in Central Serengeti.

Day 4: Departure Day

After breakfast you will have morning game drive in Serengeti National Park, then return back to Arusha for your departure and this will be the end of 4 Days 3 Nights Tanzania Safari with Signature Safari.
