Detailed Itinerary

DAY 1: ARRIVAL - ARUSHA / SAFARI BRIEFING

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be met by your driver and transferred to the accommodation in Arusha town for hotel relaxation from jet-lag. You will also be given safari briefing on this day so that you can be ready for the next day wildlife safari. Dinner and overnight will be served at the accommodation at Arusha Gran Melia an opening out onto all of Tanzania’s majestic natural beauty. An oasis of five-star comfort and elegance, with extensive, unbeatable facilities, exclusive suites, and international cuisine, including the outstanding The Grill restaurant. With a spa, heated pool, and gym.

DAY 2: ARUSHA - TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK

Morning after having breakfast at your accommodation in Arusha, you will be picked by our driver-guide and taken to Tarangire National Park. Enjoy a game drive in Tarangire National Park. This lovely park boasts the largest concentrations of elephants in the world and the highest number of breeding bird species. Especially during the dry season, Tarangire National park is packed with wildlife. Big cats like lions, cheetahs, and leopards, but also the seldom seen Kudu, Oryx, and Gerenuk. If you are lucky, you can even spot the tree-climbing python.Discover nocturnal animals like porcupines, pangolin, aardvark, and others.Dinner and Overnight will be at Chem Chem Safari Lodge.

DAY 3: TRANSIT TO SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK

After finishing up a good breakfast early in the morning, you will head out towards the Serengeti National Park and travel in the midst of the never-ending plain grasslands. On transit to Serengeti, you will pass via Ngorongoro Conservation Area, you can have an (optional tour) with an additional $35 per person if you will be interested in The Olduvai Gorge or Oldupai Gorge, which is a paleoanthropological site in the eastern Serengeti Plain, near northern Tanzania, in East Africa. The gorge is nicknamed the “Cradle of Mankind” because it is believed to be the site of found remains of the first human beings to walk on Earth.

You will proceed to Serengeti National Park. The Serengeti is arguably the most impressive wildlife sanctuary in the world. You will have an afternoon game drive in the endless plains of the Serengeti for a chance to see the great herds of wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles or a pride of lions lounging in the shade. A picnic lunch will be done during the day-long game drive itself. The eventful day comes to an end with a heavy dinner and a good night’s rest in your luxury tented camp. Dinner and overnight will be at Four Seasons Safari Lodge Serengeti in Central Serengeti.

DAY 4: NORTHERN SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK

After breakfast, you will drive to the northern part of the Serengeti for a game drive along the Mara River. Depending on rainfall, the spectacular crossings of the Mara River can begin as early as June or as late as August. The wildebeest and zebras must survive the Nile crocodiles and fast-flowing water before facing the lions waiting on the other side. This time of the year, game viewing is sensational, with impressive and dramatic river crossing at Mara River.Picnic lunch will be provided in between, and you will proceed with a game drive before being taken to the lodge in the Northern Serengeti National park. Dinner and overnight will be at Serengeti Lemala Kuria Hills Lodge in Northern Serengeti ,located in the heart of the wilderness, allowing our guests to connect deeply with the environment, while still experiencing superior comfort and service.

DAY 5: NORTHERN SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK

Rise up early for a morning game drive along the Mara River. It is truly an amazing experience to see all those hoofed mammals in search of water and greener pastures, followed by iconic predators. A journey is full of danger where only the strongest survive. You may also see hippos, lions, cheetahs, leopards, elephants, giraffes, warthogs, and if you are lucky the endangered black rhino. Through Northern Serengeti where we have incredible sightings of giraffes, elephants, buffaloes impalas, and the imaginable landscape while the migration tail starts showing up arrive at Serengeti Lemala Kuria Hills Lodge for dinner and overnight.

Dinner and overnight will be at Serengeti Lemala Kuria Hills Lodge in Northern Serengeti ,located in the heart of the wilderness, allowing our guests to connect deeply with the environment, while still experiencing superior comfort and service.

Day 6: GAME DRIVE SERENGETI / EN ROUTE TO NGORONGORO CONSERVATION AREA

After having a delicious and heavy breakfast, depart for a game drive. You will leave Serengeti with a game drive from Northern Serengeti to explore the central portion of the Serengeti National Park today while heading to Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The legendary Serengeti National Park is the most renowned safari destination for its incredible population of lions and leopards. The central portion of the Serengeti – known as Seronera area is one of the richest wildlife habitats in the park. It features the Seronera River, which provides a valuable water source to this area and therefore attracts wildlife well representative of most of the Serengeti’s species. During the off season of the migration, one must really look out for the many lion pride that thrive in this region. The interactions and survival of these lion pride provide an excellent game viewing experience all year round. Along with a picnic lunch during the full day game drive evening. We are completely flexible with your preferences and this day will be doing another full game drive since the Serengeti is large and vast we can find different areas to exploit and spot animals and when you are lucky enough you can even see some events such as animal hunting and fighting. Later on after this beautiful scenery tour with full of memories we start our en-route game drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, on the way we will be able to spot different animals and bird species, then upon our arrival at Ngorongoro Conservation Area for dinner and overnight at The Highlands Ngorongoro. The Highlands has redefined the Ngorongoro Crater experience, offering an array of activities afforded by the camp’s exclusive location and a combination of comfort and contemporary style.The Highlands perches at the edge of a forest that encircles Olmoti Volcano. It is the highest property in the area, affording sublime, panoramic vistas. Both sunrise and sunset are visible from camp.

DAY 7: NGORONGORO CRATER GAME DRIVE

You will wake up early morning, having your breakfast in the morning before starting to depart to Ngorongoro Crater for a game drive, the 600 m deep caldera you will descend the crater for a game drive. The Ngorongoro Crater, also known as Africa’s Eden, is home to an incredible diversity of wildlife year-round. Here you will enjoy encounters with a large number of species, including the Big Five. Ngorongoro is well-known for offering an opportunity to see black rhino, experience vast herds of wildebeest, zebra, and eland, as well as exciting lion and hyena sightings. The remarkable beauty and diversity of this area includes a mix of forest, savannah and grassland vegetation. These areas provide the perfect environment for wildlife to thrive in. The Ngorongoro Crater, is the largest caldera and volcanic crater in the world. While only covering 260 square kilometers, it boasts a rich diversity of eco-systems ranging from montane forest, grasslands, acacia forests, to wetlands. The diversity of this habitat makes it one of the top spots for wildlife watching in the world. What makes this beautiful area so unique, is that there is a year-round supply of food and water available for animals, which means that there is no need for them to migrate during the drier season. This area enjoys a higher-than-average rainfall, and the soil is very fertile due to volcanic ashes. The crater’s walls towering 600 meters above the crater floor also offers protection to its inhabitants. This is one of the reasons why the Ngorongoro Crater is also one of the world’s last remaining areas where the endangered black rhino continues to breed and thrive naturally in the wild. Due to the increasing threat of poaching, these animals are however under constant watch by a ranger and accounted for. We will then have a picnic lunch at a beautiful picnic site, after lunch we will proceed with game drive while ascending the crater to the accommodation just outside the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Overnight & Dinner will be at will be at Chem Chem Safari Lodge.

DAY 8: MANYARA NATIONAL PARK - ZANZIBAR

Morning, after having your breakfast, then depart to Lake Manyara for a game drive. The park has varied habitat that attracts a wide variety of animals, including one of Africa’s largest concentrations of elephants, Lake Manyara’s unique tree-climbing lions, zebra, buffalo, giraffe, baboons, warthog, as well as large flocks of flamingos attracted by the algae in the lake. Well known for the tree-climbing lions, the soda ash lake that attracts thousands of pink flamingos, one of Tanzania’s biggest elephant populations, and breathtaking scenery! Early afternoon, we will have lunch before departing to Arusha Airstrip ready to catch your flight to Zanzibar. You will be taken to Arusha Airport ready to catch your flight to Zanzibar based on your flight schedule. Upon your arrival in Zanzibar, you will be picked up by our professional guide and transferred to Madinat Al Bahr Hotel   .Offering direct access to a white-sand beach along the Indian Ocean, this luxury hotel is 4 km from Abeid Amani Karume International Airport, and 8 km from both the People’s Palace Museum and Forodhani Park.

DAY 9: ZANZIBAR STONE TOWN TOUR

After breakfast, you will be picked up from Golden Tulip Zanzibar Airport Hotel & Spa for a Stone Town tour. Today, you will have the chance to explore the most scenic parts of the island as you head to Stone Town. Stone Town is the old city and cultural heart of Zanzibar, and little has changed in the last 200 years. It is a place of winding alleys, bustling bazaars, mosques, and grand Arab houses. Stone Town has brought together many different elements of the cultures of Africa, the Arab region, India, and Europe over more than a thousand years.We will pass by Jozani Forest, the last habitat of the rare endemic Red Colobus Monkey. With a local guide, you will stroll through Jozani Chwaka National Park and look at the rare monkeys. DAY 10: ZANZIBAR SPICE FARM TOUR

Zanzibar is also known as the “Spice Island” due to the variety of spices grown. Together with our expert local tour Guide, we will guide you along an approximate 2 hours walking trip. You will enjoy a unique rainforest nature with lots of tropical plants, trees and spices. Experience, taste and smell different spices that are grown in Zanzibar Islands such as Turmeric, Cardamom, Cinnamon, Black Peppers, Cloves, Nutmegs, and so on. DAY 11: ZANZIBAR PRISON ISLAND & NAKUPENDA SAND-BANK TRIP

This is the full day combined experiences tour; of Prison Island with the nearest sandbank known as Nakupenda Sandbank. On the same day, you will visit both two unique places. Driver will come to pick you up from the Hotel, and start driving to Jitini in Stone Town. This place is our transfer point to Prison Island. Here is where you will meet our professional local to start your adventurous day trip. In this tour you will start with exploring Prison Island, our tour guide will give you some history of this incredible Island, and then you will have fun time to feed the Giant tortoises and take photos with them. After some time at Prison Island, you will leave ahead to Nakupenda Sandbank. May be get prepared to swim and snorkeling, have the test of mouthwatering tropical fruits with delicious seafood lunch.Overnight will be at Emerald Zanzibar Resort & Spa.
