You will arrive at the airport and be warmly welcomed by a representative from Signature Safaris, and transferred to your hotel in Kampala.

Today, after an early breakfast, your guide will arrive at your hotel to brief you on the safari before transferring you to Kibale National Park. The drive is remarkably scenic, winding through picturesque villages, lush green forests, and hills adorned with tea plantations. You will stay at the beautiful Turaco Tree Tops lodge, which offers spacious rooms and stunning views.

Today, you'll start early, heading to the park headquarters for a briefing on your chimp tracking adventure. Kibale Forest National Park is renowned for having the highest number of primate species in the world, including chimpanzees. With approximately 5,000 chimpanzees living in the wild in Uganda, it is an ideal location to observe these fascinating creatures. A seasoned ranger will guide you on your chimp tracking expedition, which can take place in the morning or afternoon. Along the way, you may also encounter other monkey species that inhabit the park. Once you locate the chimpanzees, you'll have an hour to observe them up close. While sightings cannot be guaranteed due to their wild nature, you might at least hear their distinctive hoots and hollers. In the afternoon, following lunch, you'll embark on a guided swamp walk. This 2-3 hour walk will lead you through grasslands, small communities, and picturesque landscapes, where the locals are likely to greet you with enthusiastic waves.

After breakfast, your guide will drive you to Queen Elizabeth National Park, which boasts a high concentration of Uganda’s mammals, including tree-climbing and savannah lions, elephants, warthogs, Uganda kobs, waterbucks, Cape buffaloes, hippos, and leopards. The park is also home to over 600 species of birds, such as the African spoonbill, pied kingfishers, fish eagles, pelicans, and vultures. Queen Elizabeth National Park, Uganda’s second-largest park, is situated at the base of the majestic Rwenzori Mountain Range and is adjacent to Lake Edward and Lake George. Lions are frequently seen both within the park and at its entrance. Prepare to witness large numbers of hippos and elephants, and keep an eye out for leopards basking in the sun. In the late afternoon, you will have time to relax at the lodge. Your overnight stay will be at the beautiful Mweya Safari Lodge, located within Queen Elizabeth National Park.

After an early breakfast today, you'll be transferred to the park headquarters for a briefing on gorilla tracking. This unforgettable experience offers the chance to encounter one of Bwindi’s endangered mountain gorillas, often considered the highlight of any tour in Uganda. Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is home to both mountain gorillas and chimpanzees, making it the only forest in Africa with this distinction. Additionally, the park boasts five other species of primates, 113 species of mammals, over 200 species of butterflies, and 360 species of birds. The gorillas you'll track are habituated and can tolerate human presence for a limited time each day. The duration of the gorilla tracking can vary from as little as 2 hours to as long as 7 hours. Once the gorillas are located, your group will have a maximum of one hour to observe and appreciate these magnificent creatures up close. Coming face-to-face with a mountain gorilla is an incredibly humbling and emotional experience.
