The 5 Day Signature Highlights Safari includes the source of the world’s longest river, Source of the Nile, the beautiful Sipi Falls, the ancient Batwa writings, artistic Paintings at Nyero, the Arial views of Soroti Town, the unmatched Kidepo National Park and Uganda’s premier cultural experience with the Karamojong’s.
This is a safari like no other highlighting the best destinations in Eastern and Northern Uganda. Kidepo Valley National Park lies in the rugged, semi-arid valleys between Uganda’s borders with Sudan and Kenya. It hosts a profusion of big game with over 77 mammal species as well as other species. It is one of Africa’s most magnificent wildernesses, with big game favourites, elephant, giraffe, eland, hyena, cheetah, buffaloes, ostrich, and a variety of bird species.

Our Signature representative will meet you at your hotel or the airport for the transfer to Jinja stopping on our way to pay a visit The Sezibwa Falls on the Kabaka Trail. At Jinja we find the source of the Nile and head out on the Gandhi monument excursion. After enjoying our lunch we take a trip to The Sipi Falls. With our days adventure done we head for our select accommodation at the Sipi River Lodge (or Lacam Lodge) for an excellent dinner and comfortable rooms for our rest.

After our early breakfast we head out to hike to the beautiful Sipi Falls, an awesome natural world experience that we can capture with our minds and memory cards. A hot lunch back at the lodge and then off out again to visit the Nyero Rock paintings. These paintings found in an ancient cave complex are dated to over two thousand years old and can tell us much of how the people of the region lived then. We will after this remove to Soroti to check in at our hotel, The Landmark Hotel (or Soroti Hotel) to relax in anticipation of our evening dining experience and our leisure and comfort in quality surrounds.

After an early breakfast this morning we head out to make the most of the day, taking on a little rock climbing to achieve a vantage point with great views of the city, with also more caves for us to explore. Back to the hotel for 1000 hrs and then we’re off to the famous Kidepo Valley National Park, where we take our lodgings at the Savannah Lodge (or upgrade to The Apoka Lodge)

An early morning game drive in the park this morning with breakfast at the lodge followed by an afternoon visit to the Karamajong community. Both lunch and dinner will be enjoyed at the lodge. On this day we encounter the vast plains of Kidepo with many opportunities to get close to wildlife species that are not found anywhere else in Uganda. Some creatures we will hope to encounter are the speedy cheetah, the mighty lion, and the majestic elephant, among many many others. Actually, its perennial waters attract large numbers of Elephants and a thousand-strong buffalo herds, especially during the dry season. It is in here where we can also spot the Ostrich birds. In the afternoon we shall make visits to the local communities-the local dances and craft shops here provide an interesting diversion in entertainment.

After our breakfast this morning we head out on a long – c 10 hrs – but rewarding overland journey via Gulu Town to Karuma Falls. (For an extra fee some clients charter private choppers direct to Entebbe Airport and this we can arrange). We will stop for our lunch along the way and visit some sites of interest enjoying views of the falls from the main road. We will reach Kampala in the early evening where our representative will take you to your hotel or preferred drop off point.
