This Signature 7Days Queen Elizabeth Uganda day safari takes you to the highlights of the Ugandan safari experience: Lake Mburo National Park, Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, and The Queen Elizabeth National Park amongst others. The adventure involves exciting gorilla and chimpanzee trek, that allows you to have close encounters with endangered primates. We can explore Ugandas natural treasures as well as experiencing exhilarating safaris that furnish us with memories that last a lifetime.

Day 1: Transfer Entebbe – Kampala

A warm welcome on arrival from our Signature representative who will bring you to enjoy some refreshment and to check in at your hotel, The Lake Victoria Serena Golf Resort and Spa, to relax and revivify after your journey. We will have a short briefing about our adventures to come after which you are free to relax.

Day 2: Lake Mburo National Park

We head out early this morning after a hearty breakfast and head for The Lake Mburo National Park arriving in time for lunch at the lodge. In the afternoon we go for a boat ride on the lake. a very enjoyable experience with the chance of spotting many water birds with more than 250 species of birds found in Lake Mburo including Papyrus Gonolek, Brown faced Lapwing. Carruther’s Cisticola, the extraordinary White winged Warbler and Bare-Faced-Go-Away bird, and other species of wildlife cooling off. As an option (not included in price) clients can go horse riding, quad biking and much more. An evening game drive along the Lakeshore track, with its own system of game trails and cleared walkways the “Kigambara Loop” offers interesting guided lakeside walks. Find here herds of zebra, Cape buffalo and eland. Oribi and topi are easily approached. We dine and overnight at the luxurious Mihingo Lodge (or Eagles Nest or Lake Mburo Safari Lodge as alternatives).

Day 3: Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

After breakfast, proceed for a game drive or a safari walk under the escort of an armed ranger. The leisurely pace of a walking safari also provides excellent opportunities for the keen photographer. The Kopjes are particularly interesting and camouflage kilpspringers and topis. Due to cattle herding in the area it is amusing to see zebra grazing alongside the long horned Ankore Cattle peaceably. In the evening we check in to our select lodge, The Buhoma Lodge (or Mahogany Springs or Buhoma Community Rest Camp) where our dinner and nights rest await us.

Day 4: Bwindi, Gorilla trek

An early breakfast then its off, with our packed lunch stowed, for a briefing on our days gorilla trekking. This magical experience is indeed a highlight of any safari experience. Today you will meet with the gentle giants of Bwindi Impenetrable National park! Expect to walk a long distance in steep and muddy conditions, sometimes with rain overhead, before you encounter any gorillas and so you must be physically fit. Mammals recorded include the endangered mountain gorilla, rare golden monkey, buffalo, elephant, black-fronted duiker, bushbuck, leopard, giant forest log and others. This park is best known for the fascinating gorillas. The time taken and the terrain varies according to the movements of this marvelous primates. The thrill of spending time and observing the gorillas is a rare, moving, awesome and exciting adventure. The gorilla is a shy and peaceful animal and it is unforgettable experience to watch and photograph them as they interact. We lodge tonight at the same accommodations as the previous night.

Day 5: Queen Elizabeth National Park

Today we set off on our journey to The Queen Elizabeth National Park via the Ishasha sector. In the afternoon we enjoy a unique 2 hour boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel into Lake Edward. This trip passes through possibly the highest concentration of hippos and many animals may be seen drinking at the water’s edge. This launch cruise offers an excellent platform for photography, bird watching and game viewing. The prolific bird life is colourful and stupendous with well over 550 resident species. With day drawing to a close we head to our select lodgings at The Queen Elizabeth Bush Lodge (or Enganzi Lodge or Mweya Safari Lodge) where excellent dining and comfortable rooms await to harbour our rest.

Day 6: Queen Elizabeth – Entebbe

We undertake a morning game drive in the park today. The Queen Elizabeth National Park, a park made up of a diverse eco-system of grassy plains, tropical forest, rivers, swamps, lakes and volcanic craters is home to an incredible abundance of wildlife. Game drives in this park, with the massive Rwenzoris as a backdrop provides excellent opportunities to see lion, leopard, giant forest hog, Cape buffalo, elephants, defassa waterbuck, Uganda Kob, Topi and bush buck. These two game drives and the boat trip are a memorable method of discovering a vast array of Ugandan wildlife. Afterwards we drive back to Entebbe via Kampala stopping to visit some drum makers at work, the Mpigi Royal Drum Makers where we may watch the ceremonial drums being crafted using methods passed down through generations. There will also be time to stop at the equator for photographs. You arrive Entebbe in the early evening. Tonight we rest at The Airport Guesthouse (or The Boma Hotel or Laico Lake Victoria Hotel).

Day 7: Transfer

After breakfast we transfer to Entebbe airport, memories and memory cards filled with the sights and sounds of the wilds of Uganda, for your onward flight.
